GodsWar and GodsArena Classes and Factions
An introduction to the Warrior, Champion, Mage and Priest classes and the Athens and Sparta starting factions.
Both GodsWar Online and GodsArena document four starting combat classes. Select one to match the role you enjoy, then confirm class skills and balancing for the version or server you actually play.
The four classes
- Warrior — a physical melee fighter with a more durable, defensive focus.
- Champion — an aggressive physical melee fighter geared toward damage.
- Mage — a magic-focused damage class.
- Priest — a magic and support class with healing utility.
For group play, the party's need for front-line durability, damage, and healing can be more important than any universal class ranking. Exact skills, build priorities, and balance should be checked separately for each game version.
Athens or Sparta?
Characters begin with one of the two factions, Athens or Sparta. The original GodsWar materials identify them as distinct starting cities with quests. GodsArena's beginner guide advises coordinating your faction choice with friends or your guild.
If you plan to play with others, ask which faction and server they use before choosing.
