GodsArena Class and Build Planning

Compare combat roles and plan a GodsArena character without inventing skill priorities or patch-specific rankings.

Edition: GodsArena. The four documented classes are Warrior, Champion, Mage and Priest. The roles below are starting points for planning—not a tier list or a promise that individual skills match the legacy game.

Choose by the job you want to do

| Class | Broad combat focus | What to verify before investing | | ------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | Warrior | Physical melee, front-line durability | Defensive skill effects, equipment requirements, party role | | Champion | Physical melee, offensive pressure | Skill rotations, target selection, PvP versus PvE priorities | | Mage | Magical damage | Skill acquisition, resource needs, survivability | | Priest | Healing and support | Healing and party support skills, solo progression |

The same class name appearing in legacy GodsWar does not prove the same balance, talents, cooldowns or skill acquisition.

Plan before spending resources

  1. Choose solo questing, party support, PvE damage, or PvP as your first goal.
  2. Confirm your friends' server and Athens/Sparta faction before creating a character.
  3. Check the current GodsArena documentation for the latest skill books, class restrictions, and unlock requirements.
  4. Treat equipment, pet and title investments as separate decisions; the forge and pets have their own progression rules.
  5. Before changing classes, read the class change guide. The current official article states that previous-class spells become unavailable and talent levels reset to zero.

For concrete skill-book examples and class weapon attributes, see GodsArena skill books and class equipment.

Changing your mind later

GodsArena documents a Class Shifter NPC. The current official class-change page says the change is free through level 100; from level 101 a Class Shift Permit is required. Equipment, including costumes, must be unequipped, and an active subclass must be deactivated first. The requirements may change with patches—confirm in-game before committing resources.
