Homestead 2: How to Use the AlcoCraft+ Keg
Craft, fill, and use the AlcoCraft+ Keg in Homestead 2.0.1, including the four-water-bucket setup and the first Liquid Courage recipe.
In Homestead 2.0.1, the Keg in the Liquid Courage quest chapter comes from AlcoCraft+ 2.1.1. It is a fermentation station that stores water and turns four recipe ingredients into a drink.
Craft the Keg
Homestead replaces the normal Keg recipe. Craft it in a 3x3 crafting table with four wooden slabs, four iron ingots, and one Hop:
- Top row: Wooden Slab, Iron Ingot, Wooden Slab
- Middle row: Iron Ingot, Hop, Iron Ingot
- Bottom row: Wooden Slab, Iron Ingot, Wooden Slab
Fill and start the Keg
- Place the Keg.
- Right-click it with a Water Bucket four times. Homestead's quest requires a fully filled Keg before brewing; each use returns an empty bucket.
- Right-click the Keg without a Water Bucket or mug to open its interface.
- Put the drink's four ingredients into the four Keg slots. Ingredient order does not matter, but all four required ingredients must be present.
- Leave the ingredients in place while it brews. A batch takes about 15 real-time minutes; removing an ingredient resets its progress.
- When brewing finishes, hold an AlcoCraft+ Empty Mug and right-click the Keg to draw a drink. A Keg filled with four Water Buckets can dispense up to ten mugs.
First Homestead recipe
The first drink suggested by the Liquid Courage questline is Sun Pale Ale. Put these four ingredients into a full Keg:
- Hop
- Dry Seeds
- Sunflower
- Glistering Melon Slice
Sun Pale Ale grants Regeneration. Hop Seeds are rare drops from breaking grass; plant them on the underside of a solid block, then right-click mature hops to harvest them. Smelt Wheat Seeds in a furnace to make Dry Seeds.
If the Keg is not progressing, confirm that it is the AlcoCraft+ Keg, contains water, and has exactly the four ingredients for a valid recipe. Homestead's in-game Liquid Courage quests contain the pack's recipes, and JEI can show the Keg recipes available in the installed version.
